DT2 - Unwanted advice?

But apparently the point of Three Roadkills was that Deeks was the one pulling back. Kensi was the one to kiss him in One More Chance. I can see it playing it out that way as you described, but it feels like inconsistent writing (which is, apparently, what I expect now from…

Wow! that is possibly the most adamant about anything I’ve ever seen typingtess.  I agree with all of you.  It’s just so confusing, but the most confusing part is that nobody really know what is going on or why because all we know is that you can’t let someone see your 3rd heart and Kensi saw Deeks, and raccoons mate for life but they really don’t and Kensi believes that but Deeks doesn’t and sometimes a knife is only a knife except when you use it to open the box that holds the one thing you want most in life which turns out to be another box …

So, after 3 catvomits (that is my fav lightedwindowsism so far) CBS said and I quote  ”Deeks and Kensi take a step back on their relationship to put their job as a priority.” Because I definitely got that out of the whole hearts, knife, raccoons, box talk. I’m sure somewhere in there they said the word job.

Back to what I think happened.  They stepped back, that is a good thing.  They need to talk in real big people words about what it means to be in a relationship (emotionally and physically) and cover each others asses at work.  They also have to realize that at this point in that relationship even if they step back that it doesn’t matter because they will still do whatever it takes for the other person. So they have to figure out how do you move forward from that.  Maybe talk to Sam and Michelle who have some experience.

Sorry, I digress.  As for Talia’s advice.  I don’t think it matters what she says. What matters is that having her there should make Kensi realize that she doesn’t want to share/lose Deeks.  And it should also make Deeks realize how insecure this has left Kensi, not someone we normally see.  And you are right Tess, their job is not safe and easy and anything can happen.  Who knows, one of them could get cancer and die 5 months later while sitting behind a computer every day.  There are no guarantees in life so you have to go for it when you get it.  And if they are sleeping together or not it doesn’t matter because they are emotionally intimate and that is so much more than sexually intimate.  They have to talk about it, and decide how they want to move forward, together or separate and if they go separate, then 1 of them leaves the show, so that won’t happen.  Because what Talia is going to prove is that they can’t go back to what they were in S2.

All the hitting and primping and non-Kensi behavior Kensi was displaying is a combination of what happened in Afghanistan, what she missed at home, and her insecurities about Deeks. And the Deeks we saw with Talia was not the Deeks we know from S2.  So I’m keeping the faith in Gemmill that he will write something that we can all live with.  It won’t be perfect, but it will leave us with a better understanding than after 3 catvomits.

The toughest thing about the shield was making it believable that [Captain America] could throw this thing, have it bounce off something, then take some guy out and have it come back to him. We tried some practical stuff, where he’s throwing a rubber shield. Nothing worked until we handed it over to Chris Evans, until we said, ‘Okay, we’ve got this shield. It’s this wide, it weighs this much. What would you do? How would you throw it?’ And he came up with some really interesting ways of doing it. He had nothing in his hands, he was just miming the actions. It was basically Chris Evans’ ability to mime throwing and catching the shield that made it work.”

Do you guys think this year’s bingo card should be all new squares, or just some of them?  Exact same card?

You can always do the couch! You know you never go wrong there :) Or you could add in some banter for them, or I’m still rooting for a kid that acts and talks like an adult. Can’t they find one on a case that looks just like them & keep it.

Silly.  Those were the first 1.5k!

omfg do you remember all those fanfic.net fics where the authors would argue with their characters in the author’s notes of each chapter???

Lol, no.  I guessed I missed that trend.  I did catch the ones where authors would put notes in the middle of the chapters saying things like, “I don’t really like this part, but you guys get what I was trying to say.”  Which I suppose I could do to up the word count if I’m desperate.
